About this app

Neutron Player is an advanced music player with an audiophile-grade platform-independent in-house developed 32/64-bit audio engine which does not rely on the OS music player API and thus delivers truly unique experience to you.

* It is the only application capable of sending audio data to the network renderers (UPnP/DLNA, Chromecast) with all DSP effects applied, including the gapless playback.

* It features a unique PCM to DSD real-time oversampling mode (if supported by DAC), so you can play your favorite music in DSD resolution.

Not a bad player really, however, it has a rather outdated UI with plain basic futuristic look to it, almost like the UI hasn't been changed from the Android 5/6 era. I'm sorry, but at £6.49 for the full version, doesn't warrant buying really when other competitors are more advanced with the UI and features you'd expect for Android 9/10 but with a lower pricetag. CONCLUSION: Excellent Player overall but with the outdated UI and hefty pricetag, it's definitely worth shopping about.

Incredibly packed full of useful features. I particularly love the ability to find and use EQ already created by others. But the UI seems to be highly 'original' - as in a completely unfamiliar design language that makes me question if they've ever used an app before. There are buttons with misleading icons and no text, and complete lack of user feedback when something has errored or is taking a while. I can't get any of the network stuff working (no error either), which is another deal breaker.

Makes the songs sound great. The reason for 2 stars is the usability. It's really, really terrible. Trying to create a playlist is 100% overly complecated. If the developers make the UI more user friendly this would be 5 stars. For this reason I won't be paying for this. I'll probably uninstall it too as it's just so frustrating to use.
