About this app

Brother iPrint&Scan is a free app that lets you print from and scan to your Android device. Use your local wireless network to connect your Android device to your Brother printer or all-in-one. Some new advanced functions have been added (edit, fax send, fax preview, copy preview, machine status). For a list of supported models, please visit your local Brother website.

- The NFC function is supported, enabling you to print or scan by holding your mobile device over an NFC mark on your machine and tapping the screen.

- Edit previewed images using the editing tools (scale, straighten, crop) if necessary.
- Send a fax directly from your mobile device.(This app feature requires access to the contacts list on your mobile device.)
- View received faxes stored on your machine on your mobile device.
- The copy preview function enables you to preview an image and edit it if necessary before copying to avoid copy errors.
- View the machine’s status such as ink/toner volume and error messages on your mobile device.

After a recent update, I can no longer print anything. It will no longer accept any new inks. I've wasted tons of money testing out but nothing works. To be fair, updates have always resulted in some issues with after-market inks no longer printing, but I just bought new ones, but now that no longer works either.

What's happened to this app??? It use to work really well on any device, PC, laptop, android phones, kindle tablets, Samsung phones. In the last fortnight I have gradually lost all printing ability from mobile devices. The app on the kindle has completely stopped and disappeared from the app store and all I get on the phone is system/connection error. I have restored, turned off/on the printer, full system reboot and reinstalled the app several times. And it still doesn't work. Help Me Please!

Never know if it's going to work very flaky and unreliable. Somehow this app is able to detect how important and urgent your printing job is, and when you are in a rush for an important printout it will get the printer to make sympathetic noises to make you think it will do something this time, then your phone screen will display the blue circle for 5 long and tense minutes before it pops up a "cannot connect" error. Better off putting your documents on a USB stick and direct printing them.
