As a simple text editor that's packed full of useful features, this app serves my needs pretty well. I just wish there was a way to associate specific file types to always open in this app. I mostly use it for editing .srt (subtitle files) and wish they could be opened by simply clicking on them in the file manager instead of having to open the app and then use "open file" to browse to the storage location. The option to assign specific file type associations to the app would make this perfect

Nice editor but I must abandon it because you can't set the default storage folder or even navigate up to the root folder when saving. Also I have to select the save format every time I save ... can't set as default. EDIT AFTER RESPONSE FROM DEVELOPER: OK, I found how to set the default directory (not very obvious), but still can't set plain text as the default. Surely it's not necessary to EXPLAIN why anybody would want that?

Hi, you have to select your phone in the left-side drawer, when choosing location, to select the root of your storage. Last chosen location is remembered next time you save. What device are you using? Also in what format are you trying to save and why not using default format? If it is a common use-case, maybe we can fix it.

Ohhh, so close to what I want. If I could add doodles and pictures, and save as something better than html or text it would be great. Need a file type that holds the bold, italics etc and that I can move to PC and open in Word or the like to edit there, and move back to the phone and carry on editing it on there. You have the bold, italics etc, and a good search function... I have my doubts I will ever find what I'm looking for. I've tried loads of apps, and none have all the things I want. It seems so simple: text and ability to mix pictures into the text and rescale like with Word, ability to use bold, italics, underline; and save as a decent file type that can handle text and pictures together like word docs.
