About this app

Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of data for you:

Contacts
Message history
Camera photos and videos
Mail accounts
Calendars
WhatsApp content

Make sure you keep your devices nearby and connected to power until the transfer is complete. When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device using Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad and experiencing its endless possibilities. Enjoy.

It was for hours transferring the data between android and ios, then it got stuck on 97% (approx.) estimating 8 more minutes, for hours... Until I cancelled. Imho If there is a queue of items and one fails, it should try a couple of times, and if still fails, skip that one item, instead of failing everything. I hope this bug is fixed so others can enjoy the app.

In setting up my new iPhone 16 Pro, I tried using this app on my OnePlus phone several times, using both cable and WiFi connection, and all failed, leaving me no option but to reset my iPhone to factory settings and start the entire phone set up again from scratch. It was really laborious and I have now given up. I'm kinda sad that this is my first experience of using an iPhone and it ruined the excitement. I hope it will work at some point, but for now, I'll set up without transferring anything

Total waste of time. Won't transfer anything and just means I have to reboot the iPhone to factory settings, again and again. They fail to mention that not all android phones are compatible with this app/method it's just sheer luck if you get one that is. Don't bother with it, stick with an android device unless you want to copy everything over manually, lose you message history and redownload all your apps then go for it
